Parisian farewell card

The second person to leave was a workmate who has moved to Melbourne, as her partner lives there.  L is obsessed with all things French, so I used that as her theme. Stamp Stampington’s ‘Visit to Paris‘ by Claudine Hellmuth onto smooth coated cardstock with Versafine ink.  Edge in blue ink, layer onto black cardstock, […]

So long, farewell …

We have had a few staff leave at work lately, and a few new arrivals to go with that.  So farewell cards have been in demand lately. First of the departures at work was a casual who has been working with us for a few years, first as a student then recently as a grad.  […]

Vintage birthday

This was for D’s sister, her birthday was in June.  He was after something ‘not girly’, so I had to have a think about it, and what papers and stamps I have.  I went with a steampunk themed card using Graphic 45’s Steampunk Debutante collection.

A vintage dragonfly birthday

Recently Daedalist requested a card for a male family member.  I decided to try out some new things I had to play with, and a different colour scheme to my usual ones.  I think it is quite striking.

Card making frenzy – Day 1

So I am on leave this week, sick leave to be exact.  I wasn’t allowed to drive yesterday or today after having an operation, and so today I decided to set myself some crafting challenges for the week. First up, using papers and embellishments (mostly papers) that I have scattered all over my work desk […]

Engagement card

This is for a family member, I posted it off last week so I hope it arrives soon.  And because of the embellishments I actually put it in a padded envelope, so no need for a stamp on the card envelope.  It was actually very difficult to come up with a concept and colour palette, […]

Spellbinders workshop

Last Saturday I did a Spellbinders workshop at Fantasia at the Bella Vista store.  It is the first time I have done a class there, the workshop area is very nice and set out classroom style. I have a die cutting machine (a Big Shot) and while I use it for embossing and some dies […]

Chinese wedding

In February I attended a wedding that was held to coincide with Chinese New Year. I decided to go with the theme, and use some of my asian papers.  I did a similar design for friends a number of years ago, but haven’t used it since (and that time I used my Luck Dragon stamp […]

Flourish baby shower card

My work colleague went on maternity leave, and before she left we went to her baby shower.  I did a card for the group present we gave her.  I have done a lot of pastel baby cards and I wanted something a bit more vibrant – I also know that S and I share a […]

A January Birthday

I’m a little behind with some of my updates.  I’ll try to get them up over the next week or so. First up is a birthday card for one of  my work colleagues. I liked the background paper and wanted to make it a feature.  So I found a stamp that had a similar style […]
