This is for a family member, I posted it off last week so I hope it arrives soon. And because of the embellishments I actually put it in a padded envelope, so no need for a stamp on the card envelope. It was actually very difficult to come up with a concept and colour palette, as I don’t know the person I am sending it to.
Base – cream square, edged in Vintage Photo distress ink then smudged with copper ink. Set aside. On a smooth piece of white card (not glossy, but coated), stamp background images (mesh, butterfly etc from the Stampington Fresh Flowers Elements set) in Victorian Violet distress ink. Stamp over this with the Rose Print collage stamp in Vintage Photo distress ink – after it was inked, I carefully removed ink from the heavy border of the stamp so it blended with the background more. I then inked up just the Rose on the stamp in Cosmic Copper Brilliance ink and stamped it again.
Stamped square was mounted onto gold paper, and then onto floral paper. Cream lace wrapped around this, then whole set mounted on the base card. Pink Petaloo flower added to top left corner, and pink pearls added to both sides to enhance the corner aspect. Key and heart lock (from Prima Wooden Shapes lock and key set) stained with Cosmic Copper brilliance ink, glued to the card, and pink pearls added to each.
Inside and envelope below the cut.
Parchment paper cut to size. Punched on two sides (short edges) with Martha Stuart lace doily edge punch, and edged with Victorian Velvet distress ink. Stamp Rose from Fresh Flowers elements set, and attach paper to inside of card. Swipe down left side with copper ink. Edge journal card that matches in Victorian Violet, stamp Congratulations in Cosmic Copper ink, attach to right hand page.
