I have arrived in Western Australia for the 2013 Romance Writers of Australia conference. I landed in Perth where I met up with one of the local members, we waited for two others to fly in, and then drove to Fremantle where the conference is being held.
Tomorrow, instead of going to the writing workshop Venus and the Half Shell by Kim Hudson based on her work The Virgin’s Promise I shall attend the academic stream being held for the first time. It is called the Elizabeth Jolley Conference, and is being run in conjunction with Curtain University. The topic is Reading and Writing Romance in the 21st Century, and it looks to be a very interesting day.
I will be blogging throughout the day, and also working out my weekend schedule (no prebooking sessions! I feel like I have not booked).
