These are the cards I made for the girls at work. They wanted traditional, and I decided to go with square cards this year.

The method was the same for all the cards. I had some lovely vintage style papers that were too nice to use as layering papers. They were larger than the cardstock so I trimed them to fit, edged with ink, and then adhered to the front. A paper flower and a sticky pearl were added to the front of each (different locations depending on the paper pattern).
I then used the paper offcuts inside and on the envelope to tie each piece together:

I think the square format suits these quite well! I especially like the third one and the last one.
Thanks L, I think the format works too. The papers were so lovely I really wanted to feature them (and for ones I make myself I don’t use snowscenes – they will be up later, once I have finished distributing them).
It is interesting how tastes differ though isn’t it? My favourites are 1 & 2. It is to do with the flourishes and background ornamentation. However I was happy with all of them
