I made this card for my manager’s birthday in September. She keeps all the cards I give her -birthday, Christmas and her wedding card too – and has them on display in her office, so I need to make sure I do something different for her each year.
I know she likes vintage style, shabby chic images, there is quite a lot of cross over in our styles (including when we theme events). So for this card I used some paper and chipboard images that I got with a magazine. It isn’t a colour scheme I would normally use, I don’t have much that is yellow. But I added in touches of pink which was a bit more in my comfort zone.
White cardstock folded and edged with blush rose chalk dye ink. Base cardstock layered with decorative paper also edged with blush rose chalk dye ink. Pink bird image chipboard edged with blush rose dye ink, layered onto square of decorative paper which has been layered onto gold paper edged with blush rose chalk dye ink. Assemble on base layer.
Inside edge of card edged with blush rose chalk dye ink. Birthday message stamped in blush rose chalk dye ink. Pink flocked flower lace adhered to the bottom right side.
Envelope has flourish stamp on lower and upper left side in blush rose chalk dye ink. Taupe flower with pink pearl centre adhered.
