Earlier this year I found myself back in hospital, and then off work for 2 months. I was in bed or draped aesthetically on the sofa for a lot of that time, and wasn’t able to do much (hence the lack of updates on my gym blog. Sorry about that).
Anyway during this time, I started to edit pictures from my travels, so I was looking at various programs to edit and display digital photos. I did that for a bit, and THEN I discovered digital collage…
So one of the reasons I wanted to revamp this site was to provide a better platform for all my artwork, including digital format. With that in mind, here are some examples of my digital collages. I tend to do my editing in Aviary (free, owned by Adobe), or occasionally on Photoshop Express (free, but you get extra stuff if you have a Creative Cloud login). I started using Phototastic, which is the best program I have found for grid layouts. But then I moved to Pic Collage for the collaging, and I haven’t looked back. I have a workflow of editing in one program then doing a layout / collaging another, and it seems to be working well.
