Well we had the official welcome, and then they announced the new first time published authors. There were 31 one of them this year which is awesome – one is my buddy Peta Crake who I met last year. Her debut novel Harbinger was announced as part of the Penguin Destiny Romance line on Thursday night. Congrats Peta! (And for Calli, Emma and Cupidsbow – she is a Perth girl too)
This was followed by the official launch of the new Little Gems: Diamond anthology. 14 short stories this year – I don’t have it yet but I have always enjoyed getting this collection each year. Next year’s theme is Sapphire.
